Natalia Oreiro has visited the United States in various occasion such as record new songs, awards or even to get ideas from the trends.
The first time she visited the United States was in March 1994 when she was participating to a beauty contest “Miss Hawaiian Tropic International” representing Uruguay. Although she did not win, she managed to get the stares of some men.
At the end of March 1997, she visited USA for a photoshoot with Enrique Iglesias for Eres Magazine where they both gave an interview.
In 1997, she went for one week trip with her then boyfriend, Pablo Echarri, in Miami.
Between February-March 1998, she flew to New York City for the filming of her first movie “Un Argentino en Nueva York” along with Guillermo Francella. Also, her then boyfriend, Pablo Echarri, paid a visit to her for a few days.
On April 21st, 1999 Natalia was seen at the Logan Airport in Boston, USA, along with her producer and her vocal coach and the motive was her international release of her self-titled CD. She met her representatives and sang two of her songs at the meeting. She visited local shops and bought a hot-dog from a street seller in Central Park. Also, she was seen buying a rock CD. On April 25th, 1999 she departed back for Buenos Aires.
In December 4th, 1999 Natalia Oreiro traveled to Orlando, Florida to do some shooting for a Christmas promo for TELEFE Channel. In Disney World, located in Epcot Center, she was invited to sing two of her songs: “Me muero de amor (Remix) and Huracan.
In the first weeks of 2000, she flew to Miami to the presentation of Muneca Brava where she talked about the storyline and how pleased she is that her project was transmitted to Telemundo at 20:00 o’clock. The event was held in Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gabes.
In April 2000, Natalia flew to Los Angeles for recording her second studio album, Tu veneno, where she passed long period at the studio recording songs. Because she was away from Buenos Aires, her then boyfriend, Pablo Echarri, flew till Los Angeles to meet her. She was staying at Hyatt Hotel. She was seen at Beverly Hills and Melrose Avenue do shopping and pass time together. He flew back to Bs As and Natalia went to Miami for work commitment she had.
In 2000, she attended the Festival Calle 8 in Miami where she was promoting her second album “Tu veneno” and she sang “Cambio dolor”.
On August 26th, 2000 Natalia was invited to the Teens Choice Awards in California, USA where she took several photos with a casual clothes and she changed later to something more formal. She gave interview to FOX Kids channel and some other local medias.
In February 2001, she visited Miami, USA, to meet the representatives of BMG. She gave interview to the program “Ocurrio Asi” and some other media of Spanish-spoken medias.
In April 21, 2001, she visited Los Angeles for unknown reasons. She stayed at the Omni Hotel where she took indoors and outdoors photos.
In September 10th, 2001, Natalia flew to Los Angeles, USA, along with her mother, Mabel. They both attended to the ceremony of LARAS (now Latin Grammy Awards) who was horoned Julio Englesias as the 2001 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year in Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. She was nominated to the category of “Best Female Pop Vocal Album” for her album “Tu veneno”. Unfortunately, she did not receive any award. Natalia gave interview to Telemundo, Viva (Israel) and one German media. The 2nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards are scheduled for 11 September in Los Angeles but due to the terrorist attack to World Trade Center was cancelled. “It was a surprise for me. I learned it via a friend and then a called another friend and I was thinking it was a joke cuz I did not understand totally if it was for the actors or not. Never thought I could be nominated for a Latin Grammy. I did not expect to win. I am very proud of being nominated”, Natalia said to an interview to Susana Gimenez Show.
Natalia attended along with her husband, Ricardo Mollo, the 1st Annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America at the Jackie Gleason on October 24, 2002 in Miami Beach, Florida. She handed over with Ruth the award for Best Artist-Southeast to Diego Torres.
On June 12th, 2003 in the evening Natalia Oreiro attended to the INTE Awards (Spanish Television Industry) at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. At noon, it was held another ceremony of the Awards in Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Natalia was nominated to the “Best Actress of the Year” but she did not received any award. She handed one award. “Apart from the Awards’ invitation, I like that they have organized a party for uniting all the Latin Americans.”
Between November 19th till November 21st, 2004 Natalia was attending the opening to the first Argentine Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
On May 28th, 2010 Natalia Oreiro with Martin Sastre and the team traveled to Hollywood for the last filming of her movie “Miss Tacuarembo”. She had the chance to meet Lee Burns in person and had a lunch with a mutual friend and movie’s director, Stephen Bridgewater, to discuss further for her role in “Freemdom for Joe”. Later, Lee Burns helped Natalia and her associates to see some locations for the filming but also to visit the Hollywood sings in the park. As for the Freedom for Joe project, Natalia told the Buenos Aires newspaper that “I did a casting, they were looking for a Latina actress, and it was going to happen at the beginning of the year. The crisis delayed it, and now they say it’s coming out, but they don’t know when! It’s about an American football player who, at the best moment of his career, becomes paralyzed and fights with God and with himself.”
On February 28th, 2014 Natalia, her husband and her son flew to New York, USA for holidays. They visited a few places and they went to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
On March 4th, 2017 Natalia flew to Miami where in the airport a few fans were gathered to welcome her. On March 5th, Natalia posted a par of photos from her preparation before give interview to the press. For Miami Dade College’s 34th Miami Film Festival, Natalia did a portrait session in vallerymag.com Portrait Studio at The Standard Hotel. Later, she did promotion of her movie at the Miami Film Festival. At the evening, Natalia with Lorena Munoz presented the movie “Gilda, no me arrepiendo de este amor” as part pf the 34th edition of the Miami Film Festival. The event was held at the Olympia Theater in Downtown Miami. On March 6th she gave an interview to CNN and she had a meeting with an old friend who lives there. On March 7th, she gave interview to On Direct TV and to the program “La hora hola” by Hola TV. She also spoke to Exitos 107.1 FM Radio. On March 8th, Natalia attended a festive ceremony at Regal Theater during Miami Film Festival and was part of the sponsor’s presentation of the festival.
On August 27th, 2017 Natalia posted a photo from USA without revealing the motive of her travel. She was seen with her husband, Ricardo Mollo, in Central Park, in New York.
On May 18th, 2018 Viacom International Studios in Los Angeles, USA, presented the new projects. Natalia was attended the event since her mini series “Grisel” was part of the projects. The storyline was written by Natalia herself. She also spent her birthday there.
On August 5th, 2018 Natalia posted some photos from Central Park in New York City. She visited the John Derian Store, who sells eclectic upscale home decor & an unusual assortment of gifts. On August 11th, Natalia posted new photos from her visit in New York City, where she was seen on the 5 Ninth Avenue, visiting The High Line Park where she had a meeting with a squirrel or even going to a bookstore. The reason of this trip was not known.
On November 20, 2023 she attended the International EMMY Awards in New York City at the Sofitel Hotel. Along with her traveled her hairdresser, Diego Alfonso. At the event was also attended Gustavo Bassani. Natalia was nominated for her role in the series “Iosi, el espia arrepentido” (1st season) in the category of “Best Dramatic Series” and her co-protagonist to the category of “Best Actor”. During her stay there she did photoshoot at the streets of New York City for “Caras” Magazine where she gave an interview.
On November 25th, 2024 Natalia was attended the International EMMY Awards at New York Hilton Hotel in New York City. Along with her was her hairdresser, Diego Alfonso, and her make-up artist was in charge Mai Mor. She chosen to wear a black transparent blouse from Ramirez and black pants from Tavo Garcia. Natalia was nominated to the Best Drama Series category but it did not receive any award. During her stay, she filmed a promo for the GA.MA Italy Uruguay.
