Natalia has been in Hungary 4 times so far. Natalia Oreiro arrived in Budapest, Hungary, on December 11 at 7 pm, accompanied by her friend, Valeria Lorca, and her make-up artist, and spoke to the Hungarian channel TV2. “I was really completely surprised. I would never thought that so many children and adults would be waiting for me at the airport”, she said. The motive of this visit was to promote her two albums. People had gathered at the Ferihegy Airport to see her up close and get some autographs. She was given many bouquets of flowers as a welcome gift. After spending some time with her fans, she left for her hotel. “I didn’t imagine that in this part of world, they would like so much what I am doing”, she said. Natalia stayed in Margaret Island Hotel during her 4-day stay. As mentioned in a question from the journalist at the airport, she would give interviews to local media the next day. She was awarded the gold and platinum discs for the albums: Natalia Oreiro and Tu veneno (which later became platinum) in a meeting with the record company at the hotel where she was staying and then posed for photographers. She attended at the evening to the party of the management of TV2 channel where she was awarded a diploma.

On December 13th, she was at Virgin Megastore in Vaci, Danube Plaza to sign autographs for her fans for her two albums. In the afternoon, she was a guest on the “Striptease” (Női sztőrittíz) show and was asked to answer the presenter’s somewhat daring questions. For her appearance on the show “Striptease”, she chose a leather top and a plaid short skirt with black tights and matching ankle boots. She performed “Tu veneno” among other songs. She was a guest on the show “Darido”, where she chose to wear a tight red lace outfit with a revealing neckline. On the show, she was given a black puppy named Puli, a well-known Hungarian breed, which she did not let go of for a moment. “I’ll take the dog with me on the plane and won’t let them put him in storage, and I hope he becomes good friends with my other two dogs at home,” Natalia explained. During the show, she was awarded the “Five Star” award as the “Best Foreign Star” by the magazine Story. She sang the songs: “Cambio dolor”, “Tu veneno”, “Que si, que si”, “Huracán” and “Me muero de amor”. December 14th was her last day in Hungary where she visited the neonatal and young children’s ward of the MAV hospital where she donated her fee from the concert and gave toys to the children. “I feel really important when I see a little sparkle or a tear of joy in the eyes of sick children. If I ever have a child, I will raise her to help others…”, she said.

On April 2rd, 2001 she landed to Budapest, Hungary to give two concerts as part of her tour “Tu Veneno Tour”. The next day she attended to a press conference and gave interviews for local media. On April 4th, the concert was held in Convention Center, which was sold-out. After the concert she gave interview for America TV in Argentina. The next morning she departed for Ljubljiana, Slovenia.

After 5 months, Natalia visited again Budapest, Hungary on September 28th, 2001 but her arrival was kept in secret due to the crowd the previous time she visited the country. The same day, she attended a press conference and met the winners of various games on the day of the arrival, including the winner of RTL Klub Natalia Oreiro lookalike contest in which she gave an interview to RTL Klub. Before the concert, she gave an interview to “El rayo” program for TELEFE. RTL Klub was advertising Natalia Oreiro’s concert with a promo. The concert was held in Kisstadion at 19.00 o’clock which has bigger capacity from the previous visit on September 29th. RTL-Klub invited to a cocktail party, but she declined, citing that she was always tired after concerts. The next day she flew for Bucharest, Romania.

On December 13th, 2002 Natalia visited Budapest, Hungary where she came to promote the soap opera “Kachorra” and her third album “Turmalina”. At the airport was received by fans and got flowers. The presenter Lagzi Lajcsi dedicated to her a song with his trumpet. Natalia spoke to the local medias. Later, she did a photoshoot at her hotel for Epizod magazine and some some interviews. She filmed a Christmas show for MTV where she sang “Cuesta arriba, cuesta abajo”, “Cambio dolor” and “Que digan lo que quieran”. In the evening she was invited to a dinner with Lagzi Lajcsi and his daughter among other people. On December 14th, she attended a autograph session to a music store in the evening. The next day she flew for Romania.
