Natalia Oreiro first visited Cuba in 1997 for the needs of filming for the soap opera “Ricos y famosos” where six episodes were filmed as well as her wedding to Diego Ramos. And so she found it as a little getaway with her then boyfriend, Pablo Echarri. They visited La Havana and Cayo Blanco where they danced salsa and tried the traditional drink Mojito.
Natalia returned to Cuba to present her film, “Francia”, at the “Latin American Film Festival” with Adrian Caetano, Lautaro Delgado and Milagros Caetano. The film was presented in the Official Feature Film Section on December 6th, 2009 at the Charlie Chaplin Theater at 3 pm with an audience of 1,500. After the presentation, a press conference was held at the Nacional de Cuba Hotel. Her husband, Ricardo Mollo, was also in Cuba. While in Cuba, she gave an exclusive interview to the magazine “Gente” and was photographed in various parts of the country.
